Terms + Return Policy

    PricingPricing & Payment

    • All invoices are billed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
    • Canadian orders: applicable provincial sales tax will be added
    • Ontario residents: 13% H.S.T. applies.
    • Prices are subject to change without notice.
    • Terms: payment due on receipt.
    • We accept VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, and Interac e-Transfer (preferred: dunbarbagpipes@gmail.com).

    WarranteeWarranty

    • African Blackwood products: 5-year warranty.
    • Polypenco products: lifetime warranty.
    • Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover misuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by environmental conditions.

    Return PolicyReturn Policy

    • Returns must be requested within 30 days of purchase.
    • Contact us first at 905-646-2388 before returning any item.
    • Returned items must be in original condition.
    • Refunds will be issued for the product cost only, minus:
      • shipping charges (non-refundable),
      • a 20% restocking fee,
      • any repair costs for damage or missing parts.
    • No returns accepted for:
      • custom-made instruments or parts,
      • new bagpipes,
      • practice chanters,
      • reeds (practice chanter, pipe chanter, drone), and
      • pipe bags.

    Custom Work

    • We welcome custom orders.
    • All custom work requires a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit.
    • Orders involving ivory or silver may require a larger deposit.

    ShippingShipping

    • Delivery charges are F.O.B. our workshop (St. Catharines, ON).
    • Most shipments are via insured parcel post.
    • U.S. and international customers: please use the postal system (not couriers such as UPS, Purolator, etc.) to avoid high brokerage fees. Contact us before shipping items back.
    • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs.
    • We cannot be held responsible for duty, customs, or tariff charges.
    • Merchandise remains the property of Dunbar Bagpipes until paid in full.

    Shipping Estimates

    • We ship worldwide, subject to product restrictions and local regulations.
    • Shipping and delivery dates are estimated based on item availability and selected shipping method
    • Shipping rates are weight-based; all weights are rounded up to the next full pound as per carrier policies.

    Privacy & Data Use

    Dunbar Bagpipes respects your privacy. Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of processing orders, shipping products, and communicating with you about your purchase. We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties.

    Limitation of Liability

    Dunbar Bagpipes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, arising from the use or inability to use our products. Our liability is limited strictly to the purchase price of the product.

    Governing Law

    These Terms & Return Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
